Talking Circle | بے خبرہوٹل
The Talking Circle is a regular baithak that seeks to engage people in social conversations. It is an open platform that encourages discussion on social, domestic, economic and political issues. The people will come together to talk about these problems and come up with possible solutions.
A program for the culturally inquisitive, the Pakistan Chowk Community Center hopes to increase interest and enthusiasm in film, theatre and television in Old Town. Under the umbrella of Palak Jhapak, the community center will host film and television screenings, talks, and workshops on various aspects such as screenwriting, editing as well as acting classes for film, theatre and television. These performances, workshops and talks will be held by community based artists illuminating conversations on film, theatre and television. The center will host creative collaborations with sister organizations to further this initiative as well.
The goal is to enhance awareness among people that these creative mediums exist, are thriving and can be a good source of creative inspiration for the community around it.
Palak Jhapak | پلک جھپک

Soch Siyahee | سوچ سیاحی
Soch Siyahee is the Community Center’s literary space. It is a space reserved for celebrating literature, writing and poetry. Workshops and events that celebrate literature will be held under the umbrella of Soch Siyahee. The Quiet Space is also available for anyone who would like to write.
Our aim is promote writers and poets from the city by encouraging and holding events like book launches and reading groups.
We hope to create a space where literary conversations can take place and where people from Old Town are the biggest stakeholders.
Picture House | پکچرہاوس
Photography, a method of archiving, has become popular in recent years. It is a fairly recent addition to categories of visual expression hence the lack of photographs from the past. When it was first introduced, there were many people who were skeptical of it. Now, it has been transformed into an artform with multiple people from the new generation taking it up. The Picture House seeks to bring photographers to Old Town to conduct workshops for the people. In addition to this, the Picture House will have a photo archive where photographs will be collected from the people of Old Town and digitized.
The aim of the Picture House is to encourage the people of Old Town to pursue this art and create awareness about the benefits of archiving visual information.
